When the car makes sense
A scooter covers most journeys on the island. The car earns its place with four people or more, with luggage, with children, or during the rainy season: from October to December the downpours are short but heavy.
We only have one. Ask early, especially from December to March.

Availability and the exact rate before any booking. You know what you are paying before you commit to anything.
You collect the keys
If you are staying with Keya, your room keys and your vehicle keys are waiting in the same place. We walk around the vehicle with you before you set off.

Before you set off
Riding on Koh Samui
Traffic drives on the left
It is the one real habit to pick up in Thailand, and it takes a few minutes. At junctions, look right first.
One road circles the island
Route 4169 rings Koh Samui over roughly fifty kilometres. Allow an hour and a half to two hours without stopping — though stopping is rather the point.
Everything is close from the hotel
The airport is two and a half kilometres away, Big Buddha under two, Fisherman's Village six. Chaweng and its restaurants are about ten minutes.
October to December, wait it out
The downpours are short and heavy. Ten minutes under an awning beats a soaked road on two wheels. The rest of the year the question does not arise.
And for everything else, ask us. The beaches where the sea stays calm, the viewpoint worth the detour, the hour to go, where to eat in the evening: we live here, so you may as well use it.
